AFRICA RALLY (ARC) CHAMIONSHIP ENDED BY MANVIR BARYANS SKODA FABIAN BECOMMING A KING OF THE RACE.

Africa's Rally champion ship ( ARC ) which heald    in Coast legion Bagamoyo ended  today with Manvir Baryans Skoda Fabian becoming the new king  of the dust road race.

Baryan survived the first lag scare from his local jaspreet Cathe to win comfor table although  facing  a stiff challenge from a Tanzanian  Hero  Ahmed Huwel who finished over runner up  in a Ford Fiesta  proto.

Thirteen cars  managed to finish the Rally out out of 27 cars that attended a flag off in Dar es salaam last on Friday.

In this year the competition sponsored by Oryx  Energies products on sale.

besides principal sponsors Oryx Energies Tanzania, the other firms  that have stepped up to support the event as co-sponsors are Knight support, Southern Sun and Ubena Highland Estate.

 

The winners won the tough event in 2hrs 21minutes and 35 second. The top placed Tanzanians  Huwel and his navigator Maisam Fazal used  2hrs 27minutes and 12Seconds.

The showdown was in transe ana skilled driving well impremented, but the Rally remained fies competition between old and young drivers  '' said Huwel.

Third  over rally wa again in Tanzania  driver Harrinder  Deer, whose performance was incredible.

Navigated  by experenced Moses Matovu of Subaru 12 deer Clocked too hrs 32minutes  and 49 seconds. 

The forth over rally Was Arusha Veteran Gerald Miller in Mitsubishi  E_vo  7 He used  2:33and 33 en route.

Fifith was Ugandan veteran Christaks fit dis who  Clocked 2:51 :01.

However it was Kenyan  versus Two Tanzanian in all section of 600 kilometers the fiercely fought Rally.

Adam Lauf fished in six ahead  of Zambian Duo Leroy Gomez and Cleaner Gomez who who finished  the in 7th ahead Of Kenyan  Doran Chatte who claimed  bomber 8  in Mitsubishi Evo 10.

It was not a good day to Tanzanian stars especially Dharam Padua who fought bravery to the podium despite facing countless obstacles and challenges.

He finished 10th wile his Dar es salaam Rival Randip Bird had to with draw in the penultimate doe to gear box problem.

A total of 25 drivers   including 10 from Kenya , Uganda and Zambia  were compete in the rally

Others are MajiPoa , Dar City Promotion, U-Track, Radio Wave,Travelers Lodge Bagamoyo, MM  Signs Ltd, Nissan Tanzania, The Wheel, Stella Maris Hotel.

Babo  wished all drivers, navigators, spectators and rally officials the best of luck during the event.

 

The competition  lounched by Automobile Association of Tanzania (AAT) at Souhtern sun Dar es salaam on friday.
